Cedar Annexe

Multi Purpose Gym (Now residential annexe)

Cedar Annexe started life as a Multi-purpose Gym building which was designed to comply with the limits imposed under Class E Permitted Development, this type of development is something that many householders can do without planning permission, however, always clarify this with B3architectural or another suitably qualified architectural consultant.

However, as the plans for the main house; Cedar View grew, a new plan was considered to gain planning permission for self-contained habitable use alongside the dwelling. This provided the self-build client accommodation for the duration of their project and in the future would be an ideal Annexe for relatives or guests.

Yet again, the building features a Monolithic 'wrap over' roof with 'privacy pier' to the main house side. This is clad in Red Western Cedar boards. Similar traits can be seen in many of our projects. Like Cedar House, this project was designed and completed at Smytheman Architectural.
