Waterwheel Barn
Free standing PV's alongside Historic House
location:
Staffordshire
The owners of Waterwheel Barn loved their large, L-shaped historic building however, they wanted a more efficient, cleaner way to provide energy during the current 'climate crisis' that we are all facing.
To install PV's to the roof of such an attractive, charming character property may have detracted from the buildings appearance. This was immediately dismissed.
To the south of the house a sunken brick walled paddock existed. This was outside the domestic curtilage and as a result, full planning permission was required. The homeowner had tried to do this themselves, but encountered difficulties and had not managed to submit a 'valid' planning application to the Local Authority, this can be a tricky process.
As usual B3 expertly navigated the planning process taking care of all work and saving the applicant / homeowner from wasting any more of their precious time. The application was approved in circa 8 weeks and is now in situ creating clean energy every day.
On projects such as this B3 works in conjunction with our friends at 'Solar Star Power' of Uttoxeter who provide us with the technical details to maximise the site, and supply and install the PV's themselves.
